K3 International Film FestivalK3 Film Festival takes place in Villach, Austria and is widely recognized for its courageous and thoughtful selection of films. The festival aims to promote the diversity of filmic languages ranging from short films, video art to feature films and documentaries. Deriving from “Kommerz, Kunst, Kino - commerce, art, cinema” K3 seeks to push the boundaries between genres striving for a multifaceted cinematic experience. Situated at the border of three countries (Austria, Italy, Slovenia) it offers a lively experience of diverse cultures and a truly international meeting point.

CROSS BORDER SHORT FILM COMPETITION short films from Carinthia/Austria, Friuli-Venezia Giulia/Italy, Slovenia Eligibility film-makers, who are born or resident in one of the three regions OR films, which have been shot in one of the three regions open to all genres maximum length: 30 minutes no subscription fee works must have been finished after 01.01.2014 or it must be a world premiere. entered films can be without subtitles, but in case of selection English subtitles are obligatory. deadline: May,31st 2016 applications can be exclusively done at filmfreeway.com. No sending of DVDs or vimeo-previews and alike.
