JIHLAVA INDUSTRY PROGRAMME 2016
Since 2001, the Jihlava IDFF has been known for its diverse and inspiring industry events and activities bringing together film professionals from Eastern and Western Europe. In 2016, the industry programme includes:
*Docu Talents from the East / a presentation of the most remarkable creative documentary projects from Central and Eastern Europe at the stage of production or post-production
*Emerging Producers / a presentation of 18 talented European documentary producers
*Inspiration Forum / a platform for discussion about new documentary topics
*Festival Identity / a meeting of festival directors and programmers
*Conference Fasinations / a conference meeting of experimental documentary film distributors
*DOC.STREAM / a presentation of documentary production from selected countries
*East Silver Market / a film market showcasing the latest East European production, organised by IDF *Masterclasses / exceptional documentary filmmakers talking about their methods

History
The festival was founded in 1997 and it has been adding new categories and awards ever since. The CZECH JOY award started in 2000 followed by BETWEEN THE SEAS in 2003, OPUS BONUM in 2006, and FASCINATIONS in 2008. In partnership with the Institute of Documentary Film, EAST SILVER – Central and East European documentary market – was launched in 2004, and then DAFILMS.COM – online film portal – in 2005.
