Jaxon Film Fest opts for digital submissions, waives all fees

As the Jaxon Film Fest enters its third year it has expanded its focus.  It now supports and celebrates the art and entertainment of film in all its forms. Through screenings and associated events, the festival aims to present a wide spectrum of filmmaking – feature films, documentaries, animation, short films, experimental, student work, big budget, micro-budget, trailers.



The Jaxon Film Fest offers filmmakers the opportunity to learn, grow and exhibit their films and bring audiences and filmmakers together to better enjoy the art and fun of filmmaking. The festival will offer attendees quality films expanding their knowledge of cinema and enhancing their appreciation of the filmmaking process. Film professionals and the interested public will have the opportunity to gain industry knowledge through interaction within a festival environment. This year's themes will be the universal LOVE, REDEMPTION and SALVATION.  Although it would be great to see a film encompass all three themes,  to qualify for selection a single film need only one.  This can be of any genre.



To become more accommodating, and more democratic in our approach, we have waived all fees for submitting filmmakers.  That's correct!  It is now FREE! to submit your films.  In fact, in an attempt to eliminate postage costs--and for international filmmakers--tariffs,  we are encouraging filmmakers to submit as youtube.com or Vimeo links.   As there are no fees, there is but one deadline.  That is September 30, 2014    Our festival this year is November 1 & 2.
