The Jalari Cultural Association
organizes Jalari in Corto, the VII Short Film Festival, special event
which aims to promote the art of the short film.
This edition will be divided in three sections:
·
Jalari in Corto
in Italian language (or subtitled in Italian language);
· Jalari in Corto
in foreign language (subtitled in
English);
·
Jalari in Corto
for the schools.
Each Director has to specify which section of
the Festival wants to compete in.
A) Jalari in Corto in Italian language (or subtitled in Italian language) rules:
1) films and videos in
Italian language or with Italian subtitles, produced after the 1st
January 2007; all genres of fiction are
admitted, excluding documentaries.
2) the theme is free. The participation is free. There is no registration fee.
3) to register for the concourse is necessary to compile the registration sheet
(the file is attached).
4) maximum duration of the film is 20 minutes;
5) DVD is the only format
available.
6) is possible to participate in the limit of two works (in this case it
is necessary to fill in 2 registration sheet).
7) DVDs must be sent before 6th August 2010 to the address:

8) the material which should be sent is the following:
-The DVD of the film;
- One or more photos of the movies (digital JPG 200dpi) of which is
authorized and free the publication to promotion purposes;
- A biofilmography, in Italian, of the Director;
- A synopsis of the film in Italian/English (no more than 50 words);
- The disclaimer (attached B to the present proclamation) duly completed;
- Any other optional materials.
9) The DVDs of the movies will not be returned and will be joined the archive
of Film Festival Jalari in Corto
10) The preselection
of the films will be made from the Artistic Direction of the Festival. The
Direction may admit works that exceed the time limits established. Selected
works, will be published on the website www.parcojalari.com.
The participation in the competition may be refused in the case of the video are
not able to ensure a good public projection. And probably that a
preselection happens through vote-web; this means that the short sent to the
editor may be sent on a website.
11) The Direction of the Cinema Festival "Jalari in Short" will
name a qualified Jury that will assign the followings prizes:
- Prize Jalari in Corto 2010 to the best short film.
- Prize for
the Best Interpreter
- Prize of the Public
- Prize for the Best Pictures
The jury will assign possibly a special prize for a work particularly
worthy of relief but not rewarded for the other categories.
Prizes
consist of artistic sculptures create for the Festival by Mariano Pietrini.
B) Rule Jalari in Corto for film not in Italian language (foreign subtitled in English language)
1) in the contest can participate
the films and the video of foreign language even if subtitled in different
language from that Italian, produced after 1th January 2007. Are admitted all
genres of fiction, excluding documentaries.
2) the theme of the competition is free. The participation is also free.
There is no registration fee.
3) to register for the competition
is necessary to compile the card of registration (attached to the
present announcement). The works must have a maximum duration of 20 minutes and
they must be introduced, exclusively, informed DVD.
4) every author can participate maximum with two works. In the case of proposal two works, for each
is necessary to compile a card of registration.
5) DVDs must be sent before 6th August 2010 to this address:

the Italian subtitles), produced after 1st January 2007 by the schools of every order and degree.
Are admitted all genres of fiction, excluding documentaries.
2) the theme of the competition is free. The participation is also free,
there is no registration fee.
3) to register for the competition
is necessary to compile the card of registration (attached to the
present announcement). The works must have a maximum duration of 20 minutes and
they must be introduced, exclusively, informed DVD.
