Festival Film Dokumenter - Yogyakarta Documentary Film Festival

Festival Film Dokumenter (FFD) is an annual event held by Forum Film Dokumenter, a non-profit organization based in Yogyakarta, focusing on documentary film research and archiving, as well as film appreciation for educational purposes.

In 2019, Festival Film Dokumenter’s Call For Entry opens for Competition Program and Non-Competition Program.

There are three categories open for Competition Program. First, Feature-Length Documentary, which opens for Indonesian and foreign filmmakers alike (duration above 40 minutes). Second, Indonesian Feature-Length Documentary for filmmakers of Indonesian nationality with the minimum 40 minutes duration. Third, Short Documentary, for Indonesian filmmakers with film of short duration (under 40 minutes). And fourth, Student Documentary, which targets Indonesian students from junior to high school.

Non-Competition program brings selected documentary films in curatorial framing outside Competition. In this program, Festival Film Dokumenter invites filmmakers to be involved in the process of enriching documentary films repository of Indonesia and of the world.
