DocsBarcelona is internationally recognized for professionals from all over the world who come to present their films and projects. In DocsBarcelona take place the best national and international documentaries to which the audience could not have access otherwise. It is a great platform for the local talent and the ideal setting to present their works in Spain.

The festival has a competitive section that brings together a selection of the best documentaries of the current international scene, the Official Section. There is an open call so that interested filmmakers can submit their work.

DocsBarcelona also has a non-competitive section that brings together the most outstanding films, out of competition. Discover the most astonishing documentaries and travel through the emotional stories that shake the world.

DocsBarcelona is the only Spanish festival of documentaries that combines the exhibition of films with professional activities. This combination makes DocsBarcelona a unique event that gives professionals the opportunity to attend a  first-class festival and the directors and team of the programmed films have the chance to participate in professional activities, such as Speed Meetings, Interactive Pitch and Latin Pitch, Rough Cut Screenings, conferences, panels and Mastes Classes, and a variety of workshops.
