The Bellewood Youth Film Festival challenges young filmmakers from Kentucky and Southern Indiana, ages 12-18, to open their creative minds and showcase their talents in moviemaking by creating a short-film for competition.
DREAM! is the theme of the 2012 festival and all entries must:
• originate from Kentucky and Southern Indiana filmmakers 12-18 years old
• reflect the theme DREAM!
• contain the word ‘heritage’
• contain a red balloon
• be no longer than 5 minutes, excluding credits
There is no fee to enter and entries will be accepted September 1, 2011 – January 15, 2012. Entries may be submitted online or mailed to Bellewood. If mailing your entry send two (2) DVDs of your film and the completed entry packet to:

All mailed entries must be postmarked by 1/15/2012. Entry packets are available for download at www.bellewood.org/filmfestival
The winning films will be announced and showcased at a red-carpet extravaganza on March 11, 2012 at Kentucky Country Day Theater, in Louisville, KY.
Cash Prizes include:
• $500 for First Place
• $300 for Second Place
• $200 for Third Place
