Amazonas Film Festival

The Amazonas State Government, through the Secretariat of State for Culture, promotes and carries out the 9th AMAZONAS FILM FESTIVAL.

The  AMAZONAS FILM FESTIVAL will be held in Manaus aiming for:

I. Fostering the Brazilian and international film making;

II. Fostering the exchange of experience amidst active worldwide film making 

professionals;

III. Spreading out the cinema of Amazonas due to its importance to the Brazilian film 

industry;

IV. Fostering the access of the Amazonian population to the cinematographic art;

V. Fostering social and environmental actions in the context of the audiovisual media.

VI. Fostering training, reflection and qualification actions for the audiovisual media 

professionals.

VII. Fostering the integration between the various associations of the Brazilian film 

industry;

VIII. Stimulating the development and enhancement of the local audiovisual production;

IX. Consolidating to Amazonas the condition of important cultural dissemination pole to 

Brazil and the world;

X. Making Amazonas the center of an original and recurring event, gathering 

audiovisual works of various formats.

XI. Disclosing the potential of Amazons in terms being a site for footage.
