The Oporto Film Festival, now going to its 47th edition, has a Competitive section for Fantasy films, a Director`s Week Section, a Orient Express Competition and a Retrospective area.

The Festival highlights American independent production with 10 to 12 feature films in a competitive section, while being a showcase for premieres presenting the variety of American cinema, from independent films and documentary films to blockbusters.

The Festival's budget amounts to approximately 20 million euros, half of which originates from public funding via the National Cinema Centre (CNC) under the authority of the Ministry of Culture, the City of Cannes and other local authorities.

he 83rd Venice International Film Festival is organised by La Biennale di Venezia and directed by Alberto Barbera. It will run on the Lido di Venezia from 2-12 September 2026.
