The film THE INVOCATION (2010) is one of the most enterprising documentaries to come out of the past year, tackling the endlessly debated question: is world peace possible? Many contest that human nature is conflict and thus war is and always will be inevitable. But others maintain that peace indeed is possible, and THE INVOCATION explores how. These filmmakers, Emmanuel Itier and Claude Budin-Juteau, took it upon themselves to travel all around the world speaking to some of the most important...

I'm an actor and a story writter. Thought of tranforming my stories into short films, all 7 stories! So, I dared to be a film maker with a very small budget. With an intelligent guss work, I went ahead and completed 3 short films on a self created character of "Billy Moore". My friends tell me they are good and amusing films.
Not knowing fully the process of submitting them to the festivals like sending screeners have to be followed by preview material submission, I just we...

Come August 5th, Fox Star Studios’ Rise of The Planet Of The Apes will open in 450 single screens, trumping Hollywood films like Harry Potter and X-Men: First Class, which opened in 250 single screens. No other Hollywood film has seen such a massive opening, especially in the dubbed languages (Hindi, Tamil and Telegu), as the film makers feel audiences across India will connect with the film's universal appeal.

I started my involvement in films as an actor, turned into a writer and then decided to make short films on my own amusing stories. As a writer I created a character of Billy Moore, a jolly old man now. He had many amusing stories in his life. I wrote 8 stories-4 to be shot indoors and 4 to be shot outdoors. There was nobody to finance me as I had no background as a film maker. Nobody listened to me being an international award winning actor and a writer with good stories which can be easily f...

"THE AMUSING LIFE OF BILLY MOORE"
WHO IS BILLY MOORE?
BILLY MOORE
Billy Moore alias Balram More is an elderly, educated and an amusing character. His background is ambiguous. It's said he was found by a priest on an early morning, as a child, crying on the dead body of his father who died due to overindulgence in alcohol and extreme cold in a village field near Mahabaleshwar in Maharastra, India.
The priest rechristened him to ‘Billy Moore' from Balram More.
Later, w...

DILLI is a moving collection of heartfelt interviews with Delhi slum dwellers. Its lens focuses on a group of dwellers, bringing to life the untold story of mass exodus of thousands who were bulldozed from their homes and transferred to a makeshift facade - Bawana without water, shelter or drainage, while the city was being beautified for Commonwealth Games 2010.
DILLI - city of dreams - is a universal story of millions of underprivileged around the world.
DILLI holds up a mirror not only to India, but to every nation around the world, whose poor live forgotten under bridges, children go hungry, and fathers work thousands of miles from their families to provide.
DILLI brings awareness. And awareness is the first step towards action.
Director: Sanjay Arora.
Based on a true story of a handicapped woman ( Story of Hope,Inspiration and Courage)
Neha Bhatia, free-spirited and fun-loving who takes life for granted ends up a victim of a fatal accident, leaving her with a severe brain stem injury resulting in quadri-paralysis and comatose. Thus begins the journey of Neha?s recovery, unexpected but not impossible. A journey that explores unconditional love and support from Ayesha, Neha's older sister. Ayesha?s immense belief in her sister and undying faith in their sisterly bond becomes the spine of the film. Neha eventually sheds her inhibitions of insecurities and becomes an inspiration to other people through her independence. Sometimes even the eyes that see may not have the vision to inspire or be inspired ? it unfortunately takes a tragic happening to realise that life is not to be taken for granted. That life is a blessing to be counted and appreciated everyday and to be celebrated with unconditional love.
Last night, “The Social Network” came away from the 12th Annual Golden Trailer Awards with three wins in major categories and the coveted top honor, Best in Show. It is the first time a trailer has accomplished this feat since “The Matrix” in 1999, the year the awards show debuted. After carrying away the trophies for “Best Drama,” “Best Music” (which gauges the creative use of music in a promo reel) and “Most Original”—Sony Pictures’ “The Social Network” trailer na...

Once upon a time. Old magazines gently dance in the wind. A super-8 camera crawls over a wooden table while an old carpet flows in and out. Suddenly, a mouse. Then, a whole civilization running towards its inevitable destiny. Plastic waste has reached the point where not even the most distant beaches are safe.
