Odessa, TX - The 2017 West Texas Film Festival is slated for November 8th through the 11th. All screenings and workshops will be held on the Odessa College campus in Odessa, Texas.

This year's festival will feature three showcases and an Educational Day.

November 8th - Cinema of Cuisine - This showcase will feature films about food incuding the 2009 comedy Julie & Julia. Shorts and documentaries will be included. 

November 9th - Tales of Texas - This showcase will feature the 1971 drama The Last Picture Show. Shorts and documentaries will be included. 

November 10th - Educational Day - Workshops on acting, directing, producing and screenwriting will be offered in the morning followed by an afternoon of student films. 

November 11th - Worldview - Screenings of international shorts, documentaries and a feature film, Shun Li and the Poet.

"We are excited to have such a wide variety of films and showcases at this year's West Texas Film Festival," said Harlan Whatley, Director of Programmming.
