CINDY DRUKIER, Director-Writer-Producer-Narrator Hailing originally from Toronto, Canada, Cindy spread her wings from an early age, moving to Japan, Thailand, and Poland, even to the United States. With a Masters degree in Political Science and a keen sense of curiosity, she naturally turned to journalism, which has been her passion for almost two decades, first in print, now TV. “The Unseen Crisis” is Cindy’s second film and her debut as a director. Previously, she co-produced and was featured in the award-winning film Finding Manny, a surprisingly uplifting Holocaust documentary about her own father’s survival story. In her films and her work as a reporter, Cindy’s passion is telling untold stories and finding the threads that can inspire us all to be our better selves—no matter how heavy the subject matter.
JAN JEKIELEK, Executive Producer Cindy and Jan are a husband-wife team! Jan started out as an evolutionary biologist, studying wildlife in the Canadian arctic and Madagascar. Now he’s the host of American Thought Leaders, a popular, boundary-breaking longform interview show on EpochTV. He’s also a senior editor at The Epoch Times, specializing in China-related issues, disinformation, propaganda, and media bias. He co-produced and was also featured in Finding Manny with his wife Cindy, putting his native Polish language skills to good use.
LISA BLOOM, Composer Lisa creates music for film, television, ballet, musical theatre, and the concert hall. Born to a very musical family and raised in the San Francisco Bay area, Lisa began composing at age 8, and studied piano throughout her childhood with the renowned Richard Gaw. At the University of California, Berkeley, she studied musical composition and economics, graduating with highest honors. Moving to Los Angeles, she continued her studies with famed motion picture/television composers Earle Hagen and David Raksin.
Lisa has composed a number of scores for film and television and has been much in demand as a film and television orchestrator for many years. Her credits include The New Lassie; Batman Animated; The Immortals; Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman; The Stupids; Memoirs of an Invisible Man; Special Effects (IMAX); Rescuers; and several ABC specials. Lisa's orchestrations have been performed by the London Symphony and the Prague Radio Symphony. Lisa has also written three musicals, a full-length original score for the renowned Malashock Dance Company, and a variety of orchestral and chamber music.
KUTING FENG, Editor Kuting is originally from Sydney, Australia, now a New York City transplant for the last three years. She’s an experienced editor of News Features at NTD Television, and this is her first taste editing a feature-length cinematic documentary. She liked it so much, she’s already on her next big project.
OTABIUS WILLIAMS, Director of Photography Born in Nova Scotia, Canada, Otab found his home behind the camera building up his skills by taking on ever more challenging projects. He was the cinematographer for two high-profile documentaries, The Real Story of January 6, Border Deception: How the US and UN Are Quietly Running the Border Crisis. Credits also include The Final War, Rejected Reality TV Wives, and Dodgson.
MATT SOMMERFIELD, Graphic Design Matt has been helping brands tell their stories through digital marketing and video for over 12 years. His expertise in Video Production, Graphic Design, Web Design & Photography, with work featured on CBS, ABC, The Hollywood Reporter, The Chicago Tribune, Movieguide, Relevant Magazine, and more. He’s also a trained actor, stand-up comedian, and former pickle company owner!
PRASANNA PAUL, Motion graphic design Prasanna attended Toronto Film School graduating with a Best Filmmaker Award. After graduating he released his first short film, Olivia (2013), that garnered international acclaim, showcasing in 10-15 international film festivals. He now heads up Paul Bros VFX visual effects company base in Toronto, Canada, working films and TV series including Suicide Squad, The Immaculate Room and The Retirement Plan.
CHRISTOS EVANGELOU, Colorist Chris has worked in the film industry for 10 years as a Commercial Director, then switched gears to channel his passion into color-correction for the last 10 years. Also an ICA certified colorist, he sees color-correction as a very dynamic and eye-opening (literally) process, which has a cataclysmic effect on every project. He has worked on a variety of projects and finds great pleasure in providing his touch on that very last pixel. Originally from Greece, he’s based in Toronto, Canada.
