TIFF Cynthia Nixon A Quiet Passion

DDI (New UK Distributor replacing Metrodome) sells A QUIET PASSION at TIFF

Jason Moring, Double Dutch International CEO, announced today a series of sales on Terence Davies' A QUIET PASSION.

A QUIET PASSION, which is having its North American premiere at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival on September 12 in the Masters section, has been sold to Paname Distribution for France, Mimosa Films for Japan and Soda Pictures for United Kingdom.

A QUIET PASSION UK rights were previously sold to Metrodome.

The world is almost sold on A QUIET PASSION.

A QUIET PASSION is the story of America's foremost poet Emily Dickinson from her early days as a young schoolgirl to her later years as a reclusive, unrecognized artist; she left the world a huge body of emotional and powerful literary work, sadly discovered only after she was gone.

A QUIET PASSION, which premiered in the 2016 Berlinale Gala section, is written and directed by award-winning and acclaimed filmmaker Terence Davies (THE HOUSE OF MIRTH, THE DEEP BLUE SEA). It stars Cynthia Nixon (STOCKHOLM, PENNSYLVANIA, Sex and the City) in the lead role as Dickinson and co-stars Jennifer Ehle (ZERO DARK THIRTY, FIFTY SHADES OF GREY).

The picture is produced by Sol Papadopoulos and Roy Boulter of Hurricane Films with Belgium-based Potemkino co-producing. The executive producers include Andrea Gibson of Gibson & MacLeod, as well as Moring of DDI.

"As one of 25 movies that Rolling Stone magazine recommended to see at TIFF, A QUIET PASSION is a festival and audience darling, Berlin, Toronto, with San Sebastian, London BFI and New York to come," said Moring from DDI, "our distribution partners are sure to gain from the incredible exposure."
