Crossroads Co-production Forum and Agora Works in Progress

 
 
AGORA, the industry activity of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival headed by Marie-Pierre Macia, is pleased to announce this year’s awards.
 
I. The jury of the 9th Crossroads Co-production Forum, consisting of Alesia Weston, (former Sundance Film Institute executive), Peter Carlton, (Warp Films, producer, UK) and Amanda Livanou (Beben Films, Greece) grants the Two Thirty Five co-production award (full post-production image and sound) to the project:
 
THE SEA AND ITS WAVES, Directed by: Liana Kassir & Renaud Pachot, Produced by: Mathieu Mullier, Kafard Films, co-producer: Abla Khouri, Ginger Beirut Productions, Lebanon/France
 
The producer of the winning project will also be granted a free accreditation for the PRODUCER’S NETWORK, Cannes Film Festival 2014 session.
 
II. The jury also grants the French CNC (CENTRE NATIONAL DU CINEMA ET DE L’ IMAGE ANIMÉE) Development award of 7.000 euro to the project:
 
A HISTORY OF WOMEN, Directed by: Ülkü Oktay, Produced by: Onur Ünlü, Sebnem Vitrinel, Eflatun Film, Turkey
 
III. The jury also awards a Special Mention to the project THE VETERAN, Directed by: Zacharias Mavroeidis, Produced by: Phaedra Vokali, Marni Films, Greece
 
IV. SCRIPT 2 FILM WORKSHOPS of the Mediterranean Film Institute (MFI) awards a scholarship to the film project THE SATELLITES, Director: Nenad Mikalacki, Producer: Pascaline Saillant, 25 Films, France/Serbia
 
V. The AGORA WORKS IN PROGRESS jury consisting of Olivier Heitz (International Acquisitions - MK2, France), Matthieu Darras, (Festival Programmer - San Sebastian IFF, Spain) and Konstantina Vonorta (producer - Graal, Greece) grants theGRAAL post-production award with in kind services in image post-production up to 70.000 euro to the film:
 
NEXT TO HER, Directed by Asaf Korman, Produced by Haim Mecklberg & Estee Yacov - Mecklberg, 2-TEAM Production,Israel
