Every year, the Festival welcomes directors from the Department of Film and Television at Tel Aviv University as part of its international Cinema Schools section. The press conference will be attended by Dekel Nitzan, director, Migrash (Cour/Court); Eti Tsicko, director and scriptwriter, Resen (Laisse/Dog-Leash); Itay Tal, director and scriptwriter, When You Played; and Gill Weinstein, director, writer and producer, Sachkan Safsal (Sur la touche/Benched). 

The press conference also offers an opportunity to meet Guy Ofran, scriptwriter of the feature film Sharqiya directed by Ami Livine, an Israeli, French and German co-production screened as part of the Festival's Focus on World Cinema section. 

“These short films clearly show the vitality of Israeli film, and the outstanding quality of the work of Israel's film schools. We look forward with excitement to future productions from these schools and their promising students,” says Festival president Serge Losique.
