Sold out is the common refrain at the Sundance Film Festival but there are still ways to secure a ticket once the movies start rolling. Savvy organizers keep schedules online and out in the open in many places so the public can stay informed. Veteran movie goers place their names on wait lists and use social media as a way to find an open seat. Though the festival is very popular people sometimes just can't make it to a screening. As a result seats do become available and the openings are quickly taken! Right along with great movies and intriguing story lines are the people lines. Lines to the box office, restaurants and the at the bus stops. That's not a bad thing at all since the best conversations are born out while in those lines. You might find yourself stuffed in a crowded bus but quick friendships and on the spot movie reviews are always on board during Sundance. I've even considered taking a Go Pro camera with me next year for a movie short about the ride known far and wide as Sundance!

The festive winter atmosphere at Park City, Utah offers shops, restaurants and on street theater with a variety of art and activists from many causes. The Sundance Film Festival runs through February 2, 2020.
