Brita and Sundance – A Perfect Pair for Independence and Sustainability

Anyone who visited the festival this year couldn’t help but notice the green water bottles everyone carried on them suspended by a blue carabiner. Brita, in an effort to promote environmental sustainability, provided thousands of water bottles for festival guests to fill up at their Hydration Stations.

In addition to their environmental contributions to the festival, Brita teamed up with The Sundance Institute and Environmental Media Association (EMA) to launch the FilterForGood Film Project. Participants in the FilterForGood Film Project were asked about environmental challenges facing their communities and how a short film could “inspire social change”. The Facebook community voted and the top three stories were made into short films. The shorts screened at The Sundance Film Festival on January 22 followed by a festive celebration. The films are set to air on the Sundance Channel.
