A look at Day one: Sundance launching

It’s day one of the 2023 Fest, and we’re kicking it off with some highly-anticipated feature film premieres, like Radical, Sometimes I Think About Dying, birth/rebirth, The Pod Generation, and Little Richard: I Am Everything. Be sure to look for the second screenings that still have tickets available in person and online. Plus, there’s a lot happening in Salt Lake City. Catch world premieres of Willie Nelson & Family, The Amazing Maurice, and Poacher, and visit our Festival lounges Copper Common and HallPass for live entertainment between films.



Tonight, we will honor Luca Guadagnino, Ryan Coogler, Nikyatu Jusu, W. Kamau Bell, and others for their remarkable contributions to independent film at our opening night event, A Taste of Sundance presented by IMDbPro. We’re thrilled to celebrate the Sundance Institute and the artists changing the face of independent cinema. The sold-out special event will give guests a chance to enjoy a memorable evening uplifting filmmakers, plus a special performance from the Indigo Girls!
