2016 SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL KIDS’ FILM FESTIVAL CALL FOR FILM ENTRIES

April 18, 2016

San Diego, CA - The 2016 San Diego International Kids’ Film Festival (SDIKFF) will take place from August 26th to 28th at the Schulman Auditorium in Carlsbad, California.  On behalf of the SDIKFF committee, we cordially invite you to submit your film/TV/Screenplay to the 2016 San Diego International Kids’ Film Festival.

Aiming to promote positive educational impact on children and the youth, the San Diego International Kids’ Film Festival actively supports innovative films made by filmmakers from around the globe. The festival offers an excellent multicultural platform to engage aspiring filmmakers, kids, and educators alike: screening quality films, television episodes, and screenplay showcase play in short and feature length, as well as works in documentaries, animations, educational visual arts, and mixed media.

In addition to the film screenings, as the regular program, the 2016 SDIKFF will host Opening Night Gala, Culture Forums, Industrial Panel Discussions, Screenplay showcase and Red Carpet Award Ceremony. This year, the SDIKFF will add Family Film Market, cultural fashion competition and live broadcasting the award ceremony in to the three day festival. These events will help facilitate interactions between filmmakers and the local kids. Youth and adult critiques will give comments to the selected films after screenings, and volunteer interpreters will assist with non-English speaking filmmakers during the events. The Cultural Forum events will focus on topics such as film production in different culture contexts and countries.  An outstanding committee of industry personnel is serving on the film juries. And film distributors will be present at the festival to secure wanted material.

Please download the submission form through our official website http://sdkidsfilms.org. The deadline for film submissions to the 2016 San Diego International Kids’ Film Festival is July 1, 2016.  Filmmakers can submit films early and often.
