Santa Fe Independent Film Festival


The Fifth Annual Santa Fe Independent Film Festival will commence on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 and close on Sunday October 20, 2013. SFIFF presents five (5) days of independent film screenings, community events and educational workshops. Currently venues include the Lensic Performance Arts Center, CCA, The Screen and Warehouse 21 at the Santa Fe Railyard. 

2013 is an exciting year for SFIFF because it marks the fifth year of a growing festival for independent film. SFIFF is committed to attracting a growing number of people who make and love films from all over the world to join this year's Fest and enjoy independent films and the unique charm of Santa Fe. Santa Fe IFF 2013 will continue growing excellence in independent film, diverse audiences, educational opportunities and community partnerships.

Santa Fe Independent Film Festival 2013 Call for Entries

The 2013 Fifth Annual Santa Fe Independent Film Festival will begin on Wednesday October 16, 2013 and come to a rest on Sunday October 21, 2013, holding five (5) days of independent film, interactive social events, and numerous instructive and expository workshops. 

 
 Santa Fe IFF 2013 Entries will be accepted starting January 11, 2013 with Early Entry Fees @ $45.00 for Feature Films and $35.00 for Shorts.  The 2013 Regular Entry Deadline is May 1, 2013 with Entry Fees at $60 for Feature Films and $45.00 for Shorts. The Final Entry Deadline is August 01, 2013.
 
 Last year, the 2012 Santa Fe IFF experienced its biggest and most thriving year yet. The festival opened with the New Mexico premiere and Red Carpet Gala Event of BLESS ME, ULTIMA with Author Rudolfo Anaya and cast and crew. The festival partnered with Farm to Table to host a week of food and film along with NM Lawyers for The Arts to speak in the numerous educational workshops offered throughout the week. Santa Fe IFF closed with its New Mexico Premiere of TIGER EYES with Author Judy Blume and cast and crew. A Q&A with Blume and her son, Lawrence Blume, followed the event. 
 
 Guests of honor included Wes Studi (LAST OF THE MOHICANS, AVATAR) who received the 2012 Action Hero Award and Chris Eyre (SMOKE SIGNALS, SKINS) recipient of the 2012 American Filmmaker Award. Rudolfo Anaya was awarded the 2012 American Author Award and Judy Blume the 2012 American Icon Award. 
 
 The Santa Fe Independent Film Festival is geared towards expanding, inviting more filmmakers to expose their work through the festival; setting them up with a diverse audience, informative panels and unique opportunities for possible partnerships.
