Nobody Else but You

by Ron Gilbert

Director Gérald Hustache-Mathieu has jumped into the Marilyn Monroe mystique and has created a film which allows you to join him in his whodunnit script.
David Rousseau (Jean-Paul Rouve) is a crime novelist( just think James Elroy), and is searching for a story for his a new novel and lo and behold ,while speeding down the highway in his convertible,he passes the scene of an accident or it is a suicide and his writer/detective instincts start to flow as he follows the investigation as to the cause of the death of Candice Lecoeur aka Martine Langevin(Sophie Quinton) who was discovered by a photographer while pumping gas, becomes a model, then a sexy weather lady but only a star in her small town.
The police investigation stated that the cause of death is suicide by sleeping pills but Rousseau is the only one who doesn't buy it and who wants to know the true cause of her death. In his search for the truth, he will be confronted with many difficulties from the small town locals but goes beyond what some people want ,keeping a secret forever.
His search uncovers writings from Candice and her descent as she loses her grasp of who she is and has turned into an object of desire. What he discovers is that Candice and he were meant to connect even after she is passed on from this earth
Okay there have been comparisons to Fargo and My Week with Marilyn but this film will have much more than what others have said.
I throughly enjoyed this film and was enthralled very much by the charm and innocent beauty of Sophie Quinton and I feel that it is a real gem. and Marilyn herself would enjoy it.
