Revolution will screen at Life Sciences Film Festival

The Life Sciences Film Festival (LSFF, 12–17 October, 2015), an international festival of documentary films on natural and agricultural sciences and sustainable development, has started accepting film entries!

The LIFE SCIENCES FILM FESTIVAL was founded in 2010 on the basis of the initiative of former and current students of CULS in Prague, in reaction to the deficit in the presentation of audiovisual works focusing on natural and agricultural sciences.

The festival is particularly:

  • The goal of the festival is to fill this gap and to celebrate the harvest of new ideas, solutions, inspirations and new horizons by a yearly fiesta.
  • The goal of the festival is also to use audiovisual material for education and popularisation of science in an entertaining manner.
  • The goal is to create a new and unbiased discussion platform which would help as many viewers as possible access current scientific information.

How to do this?

  • By collecting the latest films created each year on agricultural sciences, on sustainable development, on knowledge gained from practical experience, but also on the basic and applied research in the Czech Republic as well as abroad.
  • By enabling a confrontation between filmmakers, specialists, future specialists and viewers and by creating a space for discussion and a vibrant academic dialogue.
  • By presenting each faculty, department, scientific programme, research project, dissertation, the private and state sector and of course student projects.
  • We also wish to turn the attention of amateur as well as professional filmmakers towards the field of natural and especially agricultural sciences.
