Planet Rock Beckett

Screenings sold out in advance, especially for the competitive selection of movies National Class and Exit Point then revue - MTV is Planet Rock Burn with a documentary about the band The Prodigy, absolutely sold out screening under the clear sky of Novi Sad is undeniable proof of how movies are an important part of modern culture and how they have become the need of contemporary society. Novi Sad has been seven days of cinema arena and festival center equally important as any other European cultural centers, for the esteemed representatives of the board of film institutions , the European Film Academy, the latest cinematic expression and vision, and film professionals from around the world. The special attention is pointed out to students and young film professionals through a series of lectures, including a lot of attention awakened by the story of a young French actor Sekoube Doucoure, who from personal experience and a very successful show made possible to make a film with a little money to be shown on the big international film festivals. What is a special achievement Academy Live at Cinema City is programmed, in addition to traffic, the interests of students via interviews with teachers who ask questions, through their intellectual curiosity upgrade their knowledge and rich personal experience. So to mention program about the story of the film during the "global window" presentation of Elme Tataragić and Srdjan Koljevic. Also it is important to learn all the secrets of modern placement strategies, alternative financing and distribution of films via the presentation of the editor of this platforma Bruno Chatelin, a member of the board of the European Film Academy and international Organization of film festivals, producers, specialist buzz and online communications strategy and a vehicle sites of our pages filmfestival.com Fest21. Bruno Chatelin is now in the process production of a film about the last days of Jim Morrison (The Doors) in Paris. Morrison also had interests to make films.

National selection presented another Serbian film Jelena, Katarina and Maria (Jelena, Katarina i Maria) by Serbian director known as a theatre director and a huge name in theatre in Serbia Nikita Milivojević. This is his first film and it is about Serbian immigration in New York. The film is visually fine, but the story I think is a little worked out.

Second film director I would really like to mention as a highlight of my day is Italian Davide Manuli, the honored guest of festival and his fantastic films Beckett (Beket) and Legend Of Kaspar Hauser (La leggenda di Kaspar Hauser). Both beautifully shot in black-and-white and willfully blank, Davide Manuli’s films are littered with memorable images and catchy surreal humor, but despite an engagingly over-the-top Vincent Gallo it is likely just to be pretty accessible for mainstream audiences: the one who like Samuel Beckett and absurdist drama Waiting for Godot though has just the right amount of charm to be accepted for festivals. Davide’s Beckett (Beket) actually was really really accepted, because according to this witty and utterly interesting author, an actress Charlotte Rampling saw the film 3 times during just one day. Davide studied theatre directing in the USA but ended up in such films: Samuel Beckett's masterpiece 'Waiting for Godot,' in a surreal journey where apocalyptic images, absurd, repetitive dialogues, and techno beats narrate an unpredictably super inventive story of the search for the meaning of existence.
