Stelling and Ballhaus to chair the juries of feature Debuts Competition

We are pleased to announce that the chairmen of the jury of Plus Camerimage 2010 Feature Debuts Competition will be: Jos Stelling (Directors' Debuts category) and Michael Ballhaus (Cinematographers' Debuts category).

Jos Stelling and Michael Ballhaus

Jos Stelling will chair the Jury of Directors'
Debuts category. The Dutch film director and screenwriter is a symbolic
figure for the organizers of the contest. Not only is Stelling an
original artist, but also an active, well known promoter of contemporary
cinema. His sensitivity to new screen phenomena marks him out to become
the jury chairman of the competition, which was created to show the
most promising filmmakers of the youngest generation to the world.

Michael Ballhaus, the laureate of this year's
Lifetime Achievement Award, will be the President of the Jury of
Cinematographers' Debuts category. This renowned director of photography
worked on almost 120 movies with such world-acclaimed directors as
Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Martin Scorsese, Mike Nichols, Robert Redford,
Francis Ford Coppola and Volker Schlöndorff among others. His inventive
accomplishments are extremely inspiring for young, emerging filmmakers.
