AFA IN FILMMAKING
AFA IN ACTING FOR FILM

The New York Film Academy is proud to offer undergraduate fine arts degrees in Filmmaking and Acting For Film. These intensive two-year programs offer students the opportunity to train exclusively in the field of their choice as they earn a degree. The program is designed for degree seeking students who want to devote themselves to learning and practicing their profession in a hands-on conservatory style program. Students are not distracted by general studies prerequisites or traditional distribution requirements before they get the opportunity to practice their craft. Both Filmmaking and Acting students will begin making films or performing in them during their first week of studies and continue to develop their skills and master their craft throughout the degree program.

REQUIREMENTS:
To be eligible for the AFA degree (Associate of Fine Arts), students must be high school graduates by the time the program begins. Therefore high school seniors are encouraged to apply to the program, but must successfully graduate before they start in the first year of the AFA. All students must be prepared to commit themselves to a full-time intensive and demanding curriculum. Filmmaking and Acting are challenging fields and require extensive collaboration and social skills. Applicants must be comfortable working with others and meeting deadlines in a mutually respectful and cooperative environment.

LOCATIONS:
Students have the option of completing the first year course work for the program in our New York, Universal Studios-Los Angeles, or Abu Dhabi, UAE campuses. Students complete the second year and the receive degree at our Universal Studios-Los Angeles campus only.
