Brandon Henriquez is an IT infrastructure expert with more than 10 years experience across multiple industries and runs a NYC based consulting firm. Back in 2014, he had his first Virtual Reality experience at an Engadget expo and was excited about the potential of the technology but wasn't firmly grasped by it until the unveiling of the Microsoft HoloLens in January 2015. Brandon was accepted by Microsoft to develop for the platform, pitching an idea that resembles what is now known as the Galaxy Explorer, and received the device exactly 2 weeks after release. Being one of the first developers not only in NY but across the world, he utilized his technical skills gained in IT to successfully create multiple HoloLens applications for high profile clients. Since then, he has been developing multiple Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality experiences as well as several 360 film experiences to debut in 2017. Brandon has taken the experience he has gained and actively looks to give back, to which he joined VRU in June 2016 in order to help grow the community of Virtual Reality enthusiasts and content creators through bi-weekly events showcasing the technology and how to utilize it.
