Call for Submissions Niagara Indie Filmfest

12th Niagara Indie Filmfest call for submissions.

Niagara's national short film and video festival is now accepting entries for the 12th Niagara Indie Filmfest, to be held April 12th-14th, 2013 in

St. Catharines, Ontario.

Since its inception, the Niagara Indie Filmfest (NIFF) has distributed over $40,000.00 to new and emerging Canadian media artists. The majority of films and videos shown at NIFF have been world premieres, providing much-needed exposure and exhibition opportunities for local, regional, and national media artists.

Submissions are welcome in five categories: Drama, Documentary, Comedy, Animation, and Experimental. Entries must be no longer than 30 minutes (including credits), and have been produced between February 8, 2011 and February 8, 2013.

NIFF welcomes both independent and student entries; the student entries will be adjudicated separately from the independent entries. Cash prizes will be awarded at the festival in April 2013.

Exciting plans are in the works for the 2013 festival, including funding information sessions, practical workshops, artists networking opportunities, and social events.

Preview copies must reach the festival no later than February 8th, 2013.
