Future of Cinema Salon Series at the Cannes Film Festival.
This year promises to be a stellar line up that includes MingleTalk at the Canadian Pavilion — an event that will be brokering conversations around the future of distribution amongst a varied group of maverick directors, rebellious producers and daredevil distributors. We will also be hosting in the Palais our annual Future of Cinema Blockbuster Panel that brings together nternational voices around the table, plus a special hands-on demo of some of the most innovative works coming out of Canada, including Late Fragment a critically-acclaimed dramatic interactive feature film which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.

PALM SPRINGS SHORT FILM FESTIVAL - August 21-27, 2008
The 14th annual edition of the event will present more than 300 new short films from 40 countries, with 300 young filmmakers attending the event in the week-long celebration of the short film art form, which encompasses special events and showcases, and a program of seminars, master classes and panel discussions featuring industry professionals and experts in the short film field. 20 cash awards will be presented in eight competitive categories - over $70,000 in cash, film stock and production services will be awarded!

Now entering our 10th year, Short Shorts Film Festival (SSFF) has become one of Asia’s largest festival for international short films and is one of the few Academy Award(R) accredited short film festivals SSFF reaches audiences of 30,000 in Tokyo and major cities in Japan. Our main festival is held for over a week in the heart of Harajuku TOKYO!

The Independent Features Film Festival is the world's first film festival in which films will be chosen by a global audience via a web-based competition. The competition will run May 1st, 2008 through June 30th, 2008. The top twenty-one films will go on to be screened at the Independent Features Film Festival which will be hosted July 25-27, 2008 at the acclaimed Tribeca Cinemas in Lower Manhattan.
