Romanian independent cinema at 2nd MIFF
Romanian director Gabriel Achim’s ‘ VISUL LUI ADALBERT - ADELBERT’S DREAM’ is one of the films in competition for the Crystal Apricot Award at the 2nd Malatya Film Festival. The film was screened last night at Malatya Park Avsar Cinemas, joined by the director himself, associate producer of Cristian Mungiu's 2007 Golden Palm winner ‘4 MONTHS, 3 WEEKS AND 2 DAYS’, Daniel Burlac, actor Gabriel Spahiu and actress Anca Androne.
In Q&A session, associate and delegate producer of the film Daniel Burlac said “Achim is trying to bring a new perspective to the Romanian Cinema. The film was recently screened at Thessaloniki Film Festival and it was received with a great interest. Although it is a movie that might be difficult to understand, I believe that ‘ADALBERT'IN DREAM’ will be a masterpiece in ten years time.”
