Guests from around the world in Mannheim-Heidelberg
Award-winner Olivier Assayas will be in attendance and numerous guests from the international film and serial drama industry are expected.
When the 64th International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg opens on Friday, October 9, 2015, the Festival Director Dr. Michael Kötz and Program Manager Daniela Kötz will have once again invited an exquisite selection of directors, actors and producers to the festival.
With the Master of Cinema Award for Olivier Assayas, the film festival honors a well-established, distinguished personality of the international film industry. And there may well be a future Master of Cinema in the midst of the young directors and producers that are among the invited participants this year.

For this year’s opening film, “Stubborn”, we are expecting the director Armel Hostiou, whose film debut “Rives” celebrated its premiere at the Festival de Cannes in 2011, as well as the actresses Kate Moran and Anne Sofie Rimestad and producer Jasmina Sijercic. // German premiere: October 9, 8 p.m. in Heidelberg

For “12 Months in 1 Day” we are expecting the director Margot Schaap, winner of the 2008 Tuschinski Award. // European premiere: October 10, 7 p.m. in Heidelberg
