Spot on Denis Ménochet
Acclaimed French actor Denis Ménochet first came to our attention in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds and has been impressing ever since. In the festival's program he can be seen in to very different roles: an over-the-top filmmaker who embodies Fassbinder "with a mixture of tenderness, horror and awe" (Screen) for all the world to see, in François Ozon's Peter von Kant, and a down-to-earth farmer in Galicia who controls his emotions until they can no longer be controlled in Rodrigo Sorogoyen's The Beasts. A wonderfully versatile actor with a gentle touch and great physical presence.
