Today is the opening day of the 15^th Grossmann Fantastic Film and Wine Festival, taking place from July 16^th to July 20^th in Ljutomer and Ormož, Slovenia.

Already at 16.00h, we invite you to the Culture House to the first film of this year’s Grossmann, tense German thriller The Last Berliner.

At 18.00h, the Ante Trstenjak Gallery opens its door for the photo exhibition entitled 15 Years of Grossmann Festival. At 19.00h, we move to the Main Square for the presentation of winesfrom this year’s Vicious Cat Wine Champion competition.

At 20.00h, Culture House Cinema offers Hungarian sci-fi delicacy His Master’s Voice, a new film by György Pálfi, the author of cult classic Taxidermia. At 22.00h it will be time for the first appearance of our guest of honour Christina Lindberg. Along with composer and co-producer Rickard Gramfors, she will present Swedish psychological thriller Black Circle with which director Adrián García Bogliano, winner of the Vicious Cat 2016, once again enters the competition for the main festival award.

The City Hall Atrium will at 21.00h offer the first block of fantastic short films competing for the Melies d’argent award, followed by Slovenian music documentaries Band vs Brand and Kameleoni – The Beatles of Former Yugoslavia, both from our Noisy Cat competition program.

The Main Square will at 21.00h be occupied by The Witch from Blackwood, a lavish theatre production offering a haunting story from the pages of history organized in association with JSKD - Območna izpostava Ljutomer.

Today’s program will be concluded by a concert of songs by Frank Sinatra at the Mitra Open Air Stage and Zombie Karaoke at the Kraner Cellar.
