Alberto Iglesias won last Sunday his tenth Goya Award for the best Original Score of Pedro Almodóvar´s The Skin I live In.

He may win his first Academy Awars, an Oscar this coming Sunday.

He got the nomination to the Oscar Awards for the best Original Score for the original score of Tomas Alfredson's Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

It´s the third nomination for the Donostia-San Sebastian-born artist, who also won nominations for his work in The Constant Gardener and The Kite Runner.

Iglesias is one of the most significant composers in the Spanish State and has created several original scores for films by Julio Medem and Pedro Almodovar. Among Iglesias' critically acclaimed musical scores were Almodovar's The Flower of My Secret (1995), Live Flesh (1997), All About My Mother (1999) and Talk to her (2002) and Bad Education (2004) and The Skin I live in (2011).

In 2007 he received the Spanish National Award in Cinematography.

Also in his carriere 3 BAFTA nominations and 2 European Awards.

Another reason for us to follow the Oscars this Sunday.
