Spielbergs Of The Future

The next Steven Spielberg or Kathryn Bigelow could be nestled in the Connecticut Film Festival's annual showcase for student films made by area filmmakers. The Connecticut Student Film Festival draws new works from local high schools and colleges, showcasing the innovation, talent and daring of a ne generation of budding film artists.

The Connecticut Student Film Festival kicks off Friday with an outdoor reception  (weather permitting) across from the historic Palace Theater on Main Street in downtown Danbury, followed by a full program of screenings in the Palace Theater starting at 5:45pm. Come back again on Saturday evening at 6:00pm at the Heirloom Theater (right next door to the Palace) to see the award winning student work.

Spanning different genres and storytelling techniques, these student films show the promise of local film stylists who are ready for the red carpet. The Connecticut Student Film Festival is presentd by The Center For 21st Century Skills, The Education Connection, Connecticut Career Choices and The Connecticut Film Festival.
