Rodrigo Aragão - 100 '(Brazil) - CF - Terror

A young woman who lives in the forest faces the demons, the spirits of the other world, the dead who are resurrected and, above all, a preacher who demonizes her. In possession of a book of spells, the young woman will try to survive the attacks of all, and at the same time retrieve a bag of gold coins that found.

A great production with Carol Aragão, Jackson Antunes and Francisco Gaspar, full of special effects by the director himself, Rodrigo Aragão, who already has several films of the fantastic selected for the Fantaspoa and Festival of Sitges.

Kuya Wes is a shy and honest employee of a banking company who falls in love with a client, Erika, who is in financial difficulties. When he decides to help her with money from his pocket, his brother, with whom he shares the house, does not agree and forces him to change. The director is known for winning the Young Critics Circle Award with his first film, "The Chanters."

A group of children released from a Nazi concentration camp find refuge in a mansion. Outside this a pack of dogs was also free at the same time. Cornered, the struggle for survival continues. Winner of the Best Film Award at the Polish Film Festival 2018.

An investigation into missing persons leads a rookie cop and a guard from the missing unit to meet a serial killer who uses her daughter to lure her victims. Attempts to save her lead us to meet her father and leave them at the mercy of a very confused young woman with suicidal tendencies. With actor Costas Mandylor ("Saw"), from the director of "The Last Terror Movie" and "Darklands", both awarded in Fantasporto.

One of them, Alicia, a young girlfriend, is now nothing more than a disgruntled woman who takes revenge on an experience that turns out to be tragic and where the contours of real life will be confused with dreams. A couple meet for a first date on Christmas Eve and they go to a strange theater room where they represent a series of bizarre and scary Christmas stories, sharing the show with a series of characters that try to escape the horrors of the time. From company parties to late-night shopping to vengeful pursuers and immortal demons, there is much to fear at this festive time.

About Fantasporto

The Oporto International Film Festival, specializes in fantasy and science-fiction films in its Official Competitive section.
This Festival also includes the 18th New Directors Week with an Official Competition and a Retrospective section. The Festival’s director, Mário Dorminsky, is preparing, with the help of the Portuguese Film Institute, a program with Portuguese Films for the benefit of the foreign guests in Fantasporto.
The Festival runs now in 5 theatres (2,600 seats altogether ) and screens nearly new 200 feature films each year. The press coverage of the Festival is made by all the most important Portuguese newspapers, radio stations and television networks and by foreign specialized press. This allows press dossiers of about 5000 clippings every year and represents a unique media coverage in Portugal for similar cultural events.

Almost 110,000 entries, per year is the average of the Festival’s past editions.
