A bus drives 5 young couples to an old castle in an unknown location. The have responded to an advert looking for people to take part in a 30-day medical trial. The company running the experiment explains there will be no contact with the outside world. The group is free to leave at any time, but if they do, they will forfit their fee: £20,000 per couple. Mysterious, unexplained events occur around the castle and strange noises are heard in the middle of the night. They think the company is creating the illusion of a “hauting” to test their reactions, until it is revealed there is something more sinister involved.

Beware those who leave unresolved issues with the dead. Prosecuting Attorney David Lunga's success is overshadowed by the terrifying secrets of Rosa, a beautiful but mysterious woman with whom he falls in love. What mysteries does she hide? As the macabre facts unravel, David comes face to face with his own demons and is driven to prove his innocence, recover his reputation and, above all, clear his own conscience. In a clever mixture of love and mystery, this first film by Filipe Henriques is in the classic tradition of fantasy and indicates a talent to follow.

Wide-eyed and naive, if more than occasionally mischievous, 13-year-old Nacho (Kancino) is in love with pretty Mayra (Daniela Arce), which would be fine if she weren’t the daughter of Diabla, a corrupted piece of work who controls the market stalls where Nacho’s iniquitous stepdad makes a living. A young and forbidden love develops in the streets of Mexico city with its mafias, police raids and piracy. Decrepit slums, altars to Death and all else can contaminate a family, giving way to abuse and sexual violence. European Première.

A terror thriller. The ghost of a teenager who died years ago reaches out to the land of the living in order to save someone from suffering her same fate. With Abigail Breslin, a young actress already with a long and sucessful career (“Signs”, next to Mel Gibson, “Little Miss Sunshine” which gave hera an Oscar Nomination, and recently, “Ender’s Game” next to Harrison Ford and Ben Kingsley ). This film is also special because it belongs to one of the few double winners of Fantasporto. Natali took the Best Film Award in 1999 with his first feature “Cube” and in 2005 with “Nothing”.

Alice and Nicholas survived an epidemic that ravaged the world, now only inhabited by the undead. But the nightmare is not over; the rumbling of a motorcycle approaches, breaking the silence. Is it another survivor that will bring them to safety? Or perhaps it is the most dangerous predator from which they have no chance of escaping…

Driving home one night, he saves a man, Johnny, who is Christlike in appearance and that he finds lying naked and wounded in the road. Vera, Larry's wife, stitches, cleans his wounds. This stranger's arrival in the Daggers home will change their lives forever.

Catalan Films & TV is the international audiovisual engine of Catalonia, creating links nationally and internationally and promoting the presence of Catalonia and its productions at markets and festivals. Since 2008, Catalan Films & TV publishes its selection of short films for international promotion, ShortCat. ShortCat represents the cream of the crop of Catalonia's film schools and independent producers. This choice includes seven titles selected by a committee of sector experts. The common denominator among all of these films is their quality and their potential for international promotion, through festivals and distribution.

This is a World Première. The story takes place in a store in downtown Madrid (a FNAC store), where a man is selected to be the face of the company. He must sleep in the store for a week and if he manages to win a certain (but undisclosed) number of fans amongst the customers, he will win a very attractive prize money. But the store is also a place where paranormal phenomena will happen…
23.00 – Industry Screenings – Cyclope Vision - Preaching to the Prevert (Remastered) de Stuart Urban (GB) - 100 min - VO ingl
Vilified by the BBC and banned in Ireland, 1997 film “Preaching to the Perverted” was arguably the first to explore the fetish scene in all its vibrant glory. Now rescued following a crowd-funding campaign that included pro-domes “bullying” slaves into pledging funds. It is a slab of obscure British cinema, it’s bold, fun, provocative and highly original.
