Winners of the Go Short awards announced

On Saturday night 20 March, the winners of the Go Short awards were announced during an exciting presentation. In arthouse LUX in Nijmegen awards were handed out to seven filmmakers. The jury's were very pleased with the high quality of the selected short films.

Winner of the NPS/ Go Short Award for Best European Short Film: Fiction

Seeds Of The Fall (Patrik Eklund, Sweden, 2009)

"A surprisingly deadpan well structured comedy that deals with human shortcomings."

Winner of the NPS/ Go Short Award for Best European Short Film: Documentary

Unearthing the Pen (Carol Salter, United Kingdom, 2009)

"Through the eyes of a young man an unknown story is told that western hegemony is once again imposing it's own culture."

Winner of the NPS/ Go Short Award for Best European Short Film: Animation

The Best of Go Short 2010

Go Short - International short film festival Nijmegen lasts until Sunday evening 21 March. On the last day of the festival much is to be seen in arthouse LUX: best of programs, thematic blocks and films by special guest Simon Ellis. Together with Dutch public broadcaster NPS, Go Short also hosts an NPS afternoon.
