The 25th Local Sightings Film Festival at Northwest Film Forum is a virtual-and-in-person showcase of Pacific Northwest creative communities. The 2022 program will present a competitive selection of curated short and feature-length films, inviting the region's artists to experiment, break, and remake popular conceptions around filmmaking and film exhibition.



Local Sightings champions emerging and established talent, supports the regional film industry, and promotes diverse media as a critical tool for public engagement.



This year, Local Sightings' closing night party is no ordinary party – it's NWFF's annual gala! We invite you to reconnect with friends and rekindle shared creative ventures at the Forum Family Reunion, Sep. 25 at 3pm at Washington Hall (153 14th Ave in Seattle). Enjoy that spark of spontaneity that's so conspicuously absent in the vacuum of the virtual; it’s time to resurrect unmediated eye contact!
