December Fundraiser Kicks Off Series of Events to Benefit Humane Society of the Palm Beaches

The Delray Beach Film Festival begins March 8 and runs through March 12th, 2006, organizers plan to screen over 100 shorts, features, documentaries and Xtreme sports films.

The 1st Annual Delray Beach Film Festival announced that it will host a Las Vegas Casino Night at the Hamlet Country Club on December 22, 2005. The fundraiser will be an opportunity for people to network with the film and entertainment community while contributing to a fête benefiting the Humane Society of the Palm Beaches.

“The Las Vegas Casino Night will showcase plans for the Film Festival and all the film industry has to offer,” explained Michael Posner, director of the Delray Beach Film Festival. “Community involvement is key for any event, and we anticipate this kick-off to spur great excitement for the 1st Annual Delray Beach Film Festival.”

Planned festivities include Blackjack, Craps, Texas Hold ‘Em and Roulette tables with grand prizes going to the top winners. By making a $200 donation benefiting the 1st Annual Delray Beach Film Festival, guests will be given $5,000 worth of chips and tickets to the Delray Beach Film Festival’s exclusive Opening Night Extravaganza.
