The 51st Rose d'Or Awards Festival
The 51st Rose d'Or Awards Festival came to a successful close today with the announcement of the Golden Rose Award-winners for 2012. The celebrations began this afternoon at the Awards Ceremony in the Festival Hotel Schweizerhof with the presentation of the Golden Roses in each of the 12 competition categories, as well as performances from comedian Rob Spence and singer/songwriter Henrik Belden. Later in the evening the celebrations continued at the KKL Lucerne where the Special Awards were presented at the Awards Night hosted by German TV presenter Barbara Schöneberger. Barbara was joined throughout the evening by an array of celebrity guests including Larry Hagman, Jeremy Clarkson, and Kim Wilde. There was still plenty of business to discuss in the morning with the final sessions of the Rose d'Or Forum 2012 - Branded Entertainment and Transmedia Storytelling and Futuretainment: What's Next? The Forum began with a presentation of some of the best Branded Entertainment projects from Florian Heister, founder and CMO of Branded Entertainment Online. After Which @radical.media Executive Producer Ben Schneider took us through the history of transmedia storytelling from Winky-Dink and You to TiVo to the iPad and connected TVs. ?The one thing that remains constant is the content? said Schneider ?it's just where it lives that is changing.? Bringing the Forum to a close were Peter Kerckhoff of Deutsche Telekom, YouTube's Andreas Briese, Brainpool MD Frederic Komp, Pulse Films Commercial Director Sam Sniderman and Manuel Uhlitzsch MD of MyVideo.de with a panel discussion on the future of entertainment television. With the TV industry and technology changing faster than ever, Sam Sniderman says you must be willing to take a risk - ?take the plunge, and learn as much as you can as quickly as you can.? The Rose d'Or Festival team would like to thank all the delegates and guests for making this 51st edition of the Festival such a success, in particular the producers and broadcasters from around the world who submitted their programmes into the competition. Without your creativity, quality and innovation the Rose d'Or could not exist. Thank you all. 11.05.2012 | Editor's blog Cat. : @radical.media Andreas Briese Barbara Schöneberger Ben Schneider comedian Contact Details Creativity Culture Deutsche Telekom executive Florian Heister Frederic Komp Henrik Belden Human Interest Human Interest Humanities iPad Jeremy Clarkson Kim Wilde Larry Hagman Manuel Uhlitzsch Person Career Peter Kerckhoff Producer Rob Spence Rose d'Or Sam Sniderman Sam Sniderman singer /songwriter The 51st Rose d'Or Awards the Rose d'Or The Rose d'Or Festival TiVo Transmedia Transmedia storytelling Which @radical.media YouTube AWARDS
