Telluride 37 draws to a close

Today marks the close of the 37th Telluride Film Festival, presented by the National Film Preserve. Two surprise “Sneak Previews” joined the previously announced list of twenty-four feature films that played in the Festival’s main program; thirteen documentaries in the Backlot program; twenty-five new short films; and six revivals selected by Guest Director Michael Ondaatje. Telluride Film Festival’s celebration of art and film, set amongst the beauty of the Rockies, opened Friday, September 3 and closed today, September 6, 2010.

The following unannounced Sneak Previews screened at the 37th Telluride Film Festival:

BLACK SWAN (d. Darren Aronofsky, U.S., 2010)

Participating in seminars and panels ranging from cinema to culture to nature, and everything in between were Festival guests: Olivier Assayas, Danny Boyle, Claudia Cardinale, Lavinia Currier, Shlomi Eldar, Charles Ferguson, Colin Firth, James Franco, Stephen Frears, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Werner Herzog, Tom Hooper, Kazuo Ishiguro, Ben Mankiewicz, Lesley Manville, Greil Marcus, Errol Morris, Michael Ondaatje, Aron Ralston, Geoffrey Rush, Peter Sellars, Bertrand Tavernier and Peter Weir.
