Stockholm International Film Festival opens its digital archive on the website!

During the last 22 years Stockholm International Film Festival has discovered new directing talent and presented innovative directors before their big break, and furthermore presented a lot of films. The festival now introduces online the complete festival archives of 3100 searchable films.

This year Whit Stillman visit the festival with his Damsels in Distress. But what film by him did we first screen at the festival, and when?

These days Andrea Arnold is a cult director and the screenings of her latest film Wuthering Heights has already sold out at the festival.  But did you know that her short film Wasp was shown at Stockholm International Film Festival already 2003? And that Fish Tank followed in 2009? Or that we screened Drive already in 1991? But then Ryan Gosling didn't play a part ...

These questions, and many others, can be answered if you visit the extensive Stockholm International Film Festival archive on our website. In this archive we have collected and digitalised information about all films that has ever been screened at the festival, and we present them with both text and film stills.
