achievement_2014.jpg?itok=4tqZ9c5R

This years’ Stockholm Achievement Award goes to the American actress Uma Thurman. She will visit Stockholm International Film Festival in November to receive the prestigious Bronze Horse and meet the audience during an exclusive Face2Face.

Justification: Ever since her earliest roles, Uma Thurman has displayed an ability to portray and project the perfect and fantastical, while giving glimpses of the humanity that lies within. Every performance is exciting, enthralling and ferocious and a gift to audiences worldwide.

Stockholm film festival proudly presents this year’s award winner, actress Uma Thurman. She will visit the festival November 4-8, mingle on the red carpet at the gala premiere and take part in the inauguration ceremony, including the unveiling of Ai Weiwei’s ice sculpture.

The audience will have the possibility of meeting Uma Thurman during a one hour Face2Face followed by a screening of Kill Bill Volume 1 and 2 on November 7, 6 pm at Park.

Tickets to the Award ceremony, Face2Face and screening are released October 14, at 12 pm.

Uma Thurman made her film debut in Kiss Daddy Goodnight (1987). Her big breakthrough came when she appeared in Pulp Fiction (1994). For her performance as an underworld mole, she was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award. After starring in such films as The Avengers and Batman and Robin, in 2003, she starred in Tarantino's two-volume epic Kill Bill as a vengeful sword-slashing assassin.
