Solanas drives the President to Mar del Plata Fest

Mar del Plate live:
The section official Competition opened up with the projection of “Touching the Void", by Kevin Mac Donald. The film, by way of documental reconstruction, narrates the true story, of two mountaineers that survive a dangerous adventure in the mountains. Followed by “Good bye dear Moon", by Fernando Spiner from Argentina, a combination of science fiction and comedy. The movie didn't appeal too much to the attending film critics.
The next day, on the other hand, " Dealer ", from Hungary, triggered hefty controversy so far. The film deals, on one hand, with Life and Death, and drugs. In their narrative and formal aspect, the film uses the contraction of time, and the possibility of creating an atmosphere that represents the state caused by the drugs. Numerous spectators left the room but the film was welcome by the critics.

According to the organizers, this edition, in their first three days, has already shown signs of success and improvement over the past edition, attendance figures are up and buzz seems a positive one.

Tonight, Fernando Solanas’ “Memoria del saqueo" is premiering.
The movie deals with the economic problems affecting Argentina, with a similar narrative format similar to the famous “La hora de los hornos”, the President of Argentina is expected to attend the screening
