According to the Swedish Film Institute, the domestic box office chart for Sweden this week reveals some exceptional figures - six Swedish films in the top ten list.

The Young Jönsson Gang (Lilla Jönssonligan på kollo) tops the list, closely followed by Teresa Fabik's debut feature, The Ketchup Effect (Hip hip hora), which went out on general release last Friday. The list also contains The Robbers (Rånarna) , Illusive Tracks (Skenbart) and the two Swedish Film Award winners, Daybreak (Om jag vänder mig om) and Oscar nominee Evil (Ondskan). Another Swedish film, Ella Lemhagen's Immediate Boarding (Tur och retur)is at 11th place.

These figures are also exceptional by current international standards. The latest box office charts on the Screen International website show that no other country in Europe has such a high proportion of domestic productions in its list of the ten most popular films.
