Roland Reber-Retrospective at the 40th International Film Festival of India
The „International Film Festival of India", which is held between the 23rd of november till 3rd of december 2009 in Goa
will show for its 40th anniversary a retrospective of director and author Roland Reber:

The International Film Festival of India is the most important international Festival of India
with participants from over 50 countries, 200 celebrated films and 6000 delegates.
Roland Reber, who received several international awards for his films, was born 1954 in Ludwigshafen/Germany.
After finishing his acting school in Bochum/Germany in the 70ies, Roland Reber worked as actor, writer and director
at many German and international theatres such as Bochum, Essen, Zurich, Duesseldorf, Hamburg, Kingston/Jamaica, New Delhi, Moscow etc
He was Head of the World Theatre Project (in the framework of the Decade for Cultural Development of the UNESCO and UN)
which he founded in 1989 and worked as director and writer in Cairo, Mexico and the Caribbean.
He was teacher for acting and directing among others in Moscow and the Caribbean.
Since 1999 Roland Reber he dedicates himself exclusively to filmmaking
and works since then with the Munich based production company wtp international GmbH,
which whom he realised six feature films, that received attention and awards on international
Film Festivals and have been released theatrically.
The special mark of all his films is that they were produced without any public funding money
or co-producing TV-stations, but with a lot of own enthusiasm in teamwork: „This gives us the freedom of being creative".
The newest film „Angels with dirty wings" had its German Premiere at the 43th International Hof Filmfestival
and will be released theatrically on 4th of march 2010 in Germany.
