Podcasting for Cleveland Festival's 30th edition

The Cleveland Film Society and North Coast Podcasting have launched the Cleveland Film Society podcast to promote the upcoming 30th Cleveland International Film Festival (March 16th - 26th). Marcie Goodman, Executive Director of the Cleveland Film Society, says, “Anniversaries are great opportunities to try new things such as podcasting. We’re thrilled to be partnering with North Coast Podcasting on this. We have so much to celebrate! “

“We are very excited to have the opportunity to tell the world about an event that draws tens of thousands of film lovers each year. After all, it is the Cleveland International Film Festival, so the global reach of podcasting makes it an absolute natural,” said North Coast Podcasting President Jim Knaggs.

The podcast will be released in varying lengths several times a week throughout the Film Festival season and periodically thereafter. Programs will include interviews with filmmakers and Cleveland Film Society staff plus recordings of panel discussions held during the Festival. Listeners can sign up to automatically receive the podcast via iTunes. The program can also be played directly or downloaded at cfspodcast.org – a website specifically dedicated to the podcast. Whether listeners choose to use iTunes or listen at the website, the program is absolutely free of charge.

“The Film Festival has been tremendously successful over the last three decades but there is still education to be done. Our goal is to let people know what it is, why they should attend, what they will see when they show up, and to provide some interesting analytical content on what they saw,” said North Coast Podcasting CEO Tim Piazza.
