Hollywood icons Paula Wagner and Rick Nicita will chair the 2012 Ischia Global Film & Music Festival, which will take place July 8th through the 15th on the magical Isle of Ischia, located off the coast of Naples, it was announced today by the Board of the Ischia International Arts Academy and Festival founder and producer Pascal Vicedomini.

"We are extremely pleased to be chairing this year's exciting event," said Wagner and Nicita, both of whom received the Ischia Lifetime Achievement Award at last year's Festival. "The Ischia Global Fest provides a wonderful opportunity for artists from the worlds of cinema, music and art to come together to interact with each other by sharing their work and participating in panels about global industry issues in a beautiful environment that is highly conducive to both the creative and collaborative processes."

Vicedomini added: “Paula and Rick are the perfect couple to head this year’s Festival. Their vast knowledge and understanding of the global entertainment arena combined with their input and counsel will be of importance as we structure Ischia 2012. For the 10th consecutive year, international stars from the worlds of film and music will return to Ischia for a week of major film premieres, video screenings, music showcases and award ceremonies. In the coming weeks we will be announcing details about the Festival’s schedule of exciting events as well as the names of the talent and industry executives who will be attending and participating.”

Joining Vicedomini, Wagner and Nicita in overseeing this year’s Ischia Global Film & Music Fest are President Trudie Styler, Honorary President Tony Renis, and an Executive Board comprised of producers Mark Canton, Marina Cicogna and Aurelio De Laurentiis, multi Oscar-winning production designers Dante Ferretti and Francesca Lo Schiavo, Oscar-winning director Paul Haggis and Italian movie icons Franco Nero, Lina Wertmuller and Enrico Lucherini.

Members of the Festival Board will include Italy’s Minister of Cultural Heritage, the Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage for the Campania Region, the Director General of the Cinema Department of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage.

The 10th annual Ischia Global Film & Music Fest, which takes place on the isle of Ischia from July 8th throughout July 15th is produced by Pascal Vicedomini and is chaired by Paula Wagner and Rick Nicita, with Trudie Styler serving as president and Tony Renis as honorary president. The Executive Board Board is comprised of Mark Canton, Marina Cicogna, Aurelio De Laurentiis, Dante Ferretti and Francesca Lo Schiavo, Paul Haggis, Franco Nero, Lina Wertmuller and Enrico Lucherini. The Fest is presented by the Ischia International Arts Academy in association with the Italian Ministry of Culture, Region Campania and the Naples, Italy Chamber of Commerce.
