New Frisco Fest opening with Vertigo

Golden Gate Entertainment, Inc. has launched Golden Gate Film Festival which is an organization that is dedicated to celebrate, showcase and promote quality independent films, American cinema and World cinema from around the globe.

Founded by James Nguyen, Golden Gate Film Festival 2004 will be held on February 6-8, 2004 in San Francisco, California. "The responses from filmmakers, film fans and the local San Francisco community have been great! I am so excited and happy to be associated with the Golden Gate Film Festival. A new film festival for the 21st Century. To me, Golden Gate Film Festival is not only a symbol of high art cinema, but it's also a celebration of multiculturalism, artistic freedom, 21st Century high art and world peace" said James Nguyen, Festival Director and Founder.

The Winners of Moviehead Awards(tm) will be decided by a panel of Eleven Jurors that are comprised of filmmakers, film critics, actors, celebrities, directors, producers, cinematographer, screenwriters and film fans. The reason why we chose Eleven Jurors is to honor the eleven men who died in helping to build the Golden Gate Bridge.

On February 6, 2004, Golden Gate Film Festival 2004 will open with a special non competing screening of Hitchcock's Vertigo and honor Ms. Kim Novak with Moviehead Award(tm): Career Achievement for her work in films. Also, Dan Auiler, who is the author of Vertigo: The Making of The Hitchcock Classic, will receive Moviehead Award(tm): Career Achievement in Film History. Lastly and long overdue, Vertigo will receive Moviehead Awards(tm):
Golden Gate Masterpiece.
