My Cinema My Film Festival is coming to a theatre near you!
Catch an outstanding lineup of independent and arthouse features from Australia and overseas, plus a selection of brilliant Australian short films – all while supporting your favourite local cinema.
Two curated programs will screen at 19 (COVID-safe) cinemas across metropolitan and regional NSW, QLD, SA, WA and the ACT from November to December 2020.
The Festival is presented by Sydney Film Festival’s Travelling Film Festival (TFF) and Independent Cinemas Australia (ICA), with worldwide content delivery service Qube Wire and support from Screen Australia.
Highlights include the Australian historical drama High Ground, shot in Kakadu National Park and starring Simon Baker, Jacob Junior Nayinggul and Jack Thompson; Cannes favourite comedy The Climb; Oscar-nominated director Agnieszka Holland’s critically acclaimed drama Charlatan and SFF’s 2020 Documentary Australia Foundation Award winner Descent, a strikingly beautiful documentary about free diver Kiki Bosch.

BLACK LIVES MATTER COLLECTION
Across a two-week season, SBS World Movies is sharing stories that hold a mirror up to the world and ask: do you like what you see? The Black Lives Matter Collection of 12 features and documentaries includes Selma, which chronicles the epic march from the town of Selma to Montgomery to demand equal voting rights for African American people; Australian classic Rabbit-Proof Fence and the multi-award winning 12 Years a Slave.

HELYARD AND FRIENDS
Harpsichord soloist and director Erin Helyard, with Baritone David Greco, and their favourite artistic collaborators perform rare Baroque gems. Enjoy vibrant Handel, majestic Bach, and an engaging and eclectic collection of early-music discoveries, in two performances only on 7 and 16 November.

The Powerhouse Museum has expanded support for NSW creative industries. Expressions of interest for the Powerhouse NSW Creative Industries Residency Program are now open until 20 November. The program provides subsidised workspace for NSW-based creative industry practitioners and organisations with practices that reflect the Powerhouse Collection.
